- A graduate of Mannington High School with the class of 1932, attended Fairmont State College, graduated from West Virginia University in 1936, and taught school in the southern part of West Virginia at Stotebury. A 4-H Club leader in Doddridge and Ritchie Counties. She was the co-owner of the Cairo Supply Company in Ritchie County from 1948 to 1965 and sole owner until 1996. [1]
