Wickliffe Bee, 35, dry goods & grocery merchant; Rachel J, 33; Catharine V, 15; Ephraim, 10; Walter, 7; Benj, 3; Wm N, 1.
1880 Census, Doddridge Co, WV (Central District), enumerated Jun 4 1880:
Wickliff Bee, 47, farmer; wife Rachel J, 43; son Ephraim C, 19; son Walter J, 17; son Benjamin I, 13; son William N, 11; son Edward, 9; dau Lilia A, 5; son Harry, 8 months.
Doddridge County's present-day community of Greenwood was known as Fairview or Grandview until the middle 1800's, when Wickliffe Bee made a medical concoction that he named "Greenwoods Wonder". When the railroad came through, the name was changed to Greenwood.
