Lena Monie Swiger appeared in the census with her family in 1910, 1920, 1930 and 1940. Her Social Security Death Index, with birth date matching her birth record, shows her death date as Jun 25 1993, with last residence in Baltimore where some of her family members are known to have settled. No birth or death record identifiable with the Lenna Swiger buried at Center Point has been found.

      There are two conflicting records of this birth, the original filed by the County Assessor, and a delayed record filed by C. A. Swiger in 1940 and recorded at the WV Dept of Health, Div of Vital Statistics..
      (1) Lena M. Swiger, white female, born June 1 1903 at Rock Camp, dau of John (farmer, resident of Olive) & Emily J. Swiger. Informant: Emily J. Swiger, mother.

      NOTE: The date entered on the second record is not entirely clear, due to imprecise handwriting and slight smearing of the ink. Although the birth month is clearly "Jan," it is conceivable that it was intended to be "Jun" as in the original record, which is spelled out as June.
