| Notes |
- Local news item, "Doddridge County Republican," Thursday, Oct 28 1915, in its entirety:
"Theodore Underwood had a pretty close call at the Castlebrook Carbon factory at the M. I. Junction a few days ago. The gas had been turned on in one of the factory buildings, and was not lighted. Mr. Underwood, either having forgotten this or now knowing it, entered the enclosure with a lighted torch, and as a result, is nursing some pretty painful burns about the neck, head and face."
