Mary I. Elliott, 46, widowed [sic], laborer on home farm; son John F, 19, single, laborer on home farm; son James C, 16, laborer on home farm; dau Stella D, 14, laborer on home farm; dau Edna J, 8; son Wilbur W, 5; son Earl G, 3y 1m.
NOTE: Daughter Edna was known in the 1930 and 1940 censuses as Agnes Elliott, in her obituary as Adda A. Elliott, and on her headstone as A. Agnes Elliott.
1930 Census, Ross County, Ohio (Liberty Twp), enumerated on Apr 10 1930:
Mary I. Elliott, 56, married [sic], farmer; dau Agnes, 18, single; son Wilbur W, 15; son Earl G, 13. All born in West Virginia.
NOTE: In this census, Thomas J. Elliott, 59, divorced, pipeline worker, was enumerated in the household of daughter Blanch Mason and her family in Central District, Doddridge County.
In the 1940 Census, Thomas Elliott, age 69, widowed [sic], was found in the household of his married daughter Lucy Dotson and her family in Wood County. Thomas Elliott's actual marital status is not clear, but he was not widowed. In 1934, he had remarried widow Sara Rosa (Haught) Thomas, and she lived until 1958.
