In William & Lillie's marriage record, they were identified as William Cain, 22, b. Fayette Co Pennsylvania, res. Harrison Co, son of Levi & Hannah Cain; and Lillie M. Douglass, 16, b. & res. in Harrison Co, dau of John & Margaret Douglass. Married May 3 1882 in Harrison County.

All born in West Virginia except William, born in Pennsylvania.
1920 Census, Harrison Co, WV (Clark District), enumerated on Feb 3 1920 on Hanover Street:
William Cain, 56, gate keeper at glass plant; son James F, 38, single, fill-in boy at glass plant; dau Darl M, 15; son Winfield, 12; wife Lillie, 54 [sic]. All born in West Virginia except William, born in Pennsylvania.
