  1930 Census, Doddridge Co, WV (Grant District), enumerated on Apr 11 1930: Lena Bland, 39; son Lloyd, 15; son Herbert, 10. (Note: Lena's marital status is nearly illegible, due to line-outs and squeezed-in corrections. The original entry seems to have been "widowed," then corrected to read "divorced." In either case, husband Clifford was not found in this census, but he was listed as the informant on Lena's 1962 death record, and Lena was identified in his obituary as his late wife. We can only speculate that although divorce was contemplated, they may have been merely separated at the time of the census and then later reconciled.)
