Susan died on Apr 12 1888 and was identified in a probate document as Susan Gimison [sic]. But the name on her headstone is Sarah Trough. This is the only instance we have found of her being identified with the name Sarah.

Joseph L. Rogers died on Mar 15 1871, the victim of a homicide by Isaac Owens with the complicity of Isaac Noah James. His wife Susan remarried in 1876, her new husband being Nelson Duty. In the 1880 Census, Susan and Nelson were enumerated in separate households and she had reverted to her previous married name.
