    Benjamin Wilson was a delegate to the Virginia General Assembly (1783-1786) and a colonel in the Revolutionary War. He has been described as the most prominent man in the Monongahela Valley and a person of great integrity and dignity. By his first wife, Ann Ruddell, he had twelve childen, and by his second, Phebe Davisson, he had seventeen.
