Event Notes
Note (1) In a newspaper article, John E. Pratt was identified as one of ten Doddridge
County Civil War veterans who traveled to Gettysburg in June 1913 to attend the
50th Anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg. However, until moving to
Doddridge sometime between 1900 and 1910, he had lived his entire life in Tyler
County.
Note (2) Birth date on headstone is Apr 26 1850. But she was not present for the 1850
Census (her parents did not marry until October 1850), and she was age 9 in the
1860 Census.
