Event Notes
Note (1) Born in Virginia.  Both parents born in Delaware.
Note (2) Birth date given in 1900 Census as Oct 1849, age 50, b. Ohio, both parents
born in Maryland.  But age 39 in the 1880 Census puts it in about 1851, and the
birth date on her headstone is also 1851.
Note (3) Birthplace given in death record as Wetzel County, but in her marriage record
as Tyler County.  Son Norman's delayed birth record, filed by his mother in
1940, identifies her as Clara Alice Cooper, born in Sancho, West Virginia.  The
community of Sancho no longer exists.  Clara was with her family in Tyler County
for the 1880 Census, age 5 months.
