Event Notes
Note (1) Birthplace given in one marriage record as Pendleton County and in another
marriage record as Hardy County.  But her death record states Alleghany Co,
Virginia, while her son's birth record states Bath Co, Virginia.  There are
similar discrepancies with her year of birth, ranging from 1846 in her death
record to 1858 on her headstone, and other aberrations in the various census
records.  But her birth record dispels all doubt, showing that she was born on
Dec 3 1853 in Pendleton County, birth name Dina Christina Champ.
