Bolte of Johnson Fork, born in Germany Nov. 25, 1837, departed this life Sept. 29 1916 at the home of his son, F. W. Bolte. Funeral services were held at the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Friday morning by Rev. B. P. Holden, of Mineral, and Rev. J. C. Cox, of Salem. The deceased leaves ten children and a multitude of friends to mourn his loss. Charles Bolte, of Ohio, and Lewis Bolte, of Roane Co., attended the funeral of their father here Friday. 9/28/1916. (5) West Union Record, 9/28/1916.
