Event Notes
Note (1) Birthplace given as Virginia in 1860 Census.  But death record shows it as
Maine, and his marriage record specifies Packersville, Maine.  Age 11 in 1860
Census would put birth in about 1849, while age 24 in his 1875 marriage record
and 35 in his 1886 death record put it in about 1851.  The later date is
considered more likely in view of his mother's immigration date of Nov 1851.
