Event Notes Note (1) Age 6 in the 1880 Census would put birth in about 1874, while age 21 in his 1897 marriage record would put it in about 1876, both more-or-less corresponding to the 1875 birth date on his headstone. But the 1900 Census shows it as March 1877, while age 58 given in his 1939 death record would put it in about 1881. His mother is incorrectly identified in his death record as Sarah Stout. Informant on his death record was Charles Hyde, Arnettsville WVa. Death date 1940 on his headstone is incorrect. Note (2) Birth date on headstone is 1880. But the 1900 Census shows it as July 1879. She was age 2 in the 1880 Census. Note (3) Listed as brother Roy Hyde, 41, divorced, laborer in saw mill, resided 1935 in Salem, in household of brother Jesse and his family.
