Hardesty, white female, married, age 32y 2m 8d, born at Sherman, resident of West Virginia for 13 years; died Nov 11 1904 at Joy, cause of death ovaritis left side (19 days) complicated by inflammation of bowels (15 days), burial at Cabin Run on Nov 12 1904. (NOTE: It is unclear as to what the birthplace Sherman refers. No town named Sherman is found in Tennesse, her birthplace as given in the 1900 Census. However, there is a Sherman, Grayson County, in Texas, where she is believed to have been married. Her 13-year residency in West Virginia would eliminate Sherman in Jackson County as a likely possibilty. Her headstone spells name Hardisty, with death date Nov 10 1904.), DR p. 153 : www.wvculture.org/vrr/va_view.aspx?Id=5047460&Type=Death.
