Corroborating this date of birth is the fact that he did not appear with his parents in the 1930 Census of Harrison County, enumerated in April. In the 1940 Census of Doddridge County, he was identified as Junior Ware, age 9. Most entertainment-oriented publications and websites incorrectly report Clyde Ware's birth in West Union on Dec 22 1936, presumably an effort on his part to remain viable in that youth-oriented industry.
