But 1930 Census shows wife Etta Bailey as a widow at that time. Death record states burial location only as a cemetery 2-1/2 miles south of Salem. Note (3) "Davis - The Settlers of Salem WV," p. 189, reports birth date as Oct 2 1861. But that would conflict with the Apr 30 1861 birth date of his brother Walter, and is also at variance with the Oct 22 1859 birth date in his death record, which would conflict with the May 1859 birth date of his brother Joseph. Age 17 in the 1880 Census puts it in about 1863. Note (4) Birth date reported by Findagrave as Jun 10 1875.
