Cause of death listed as cardiac degeration resulting from overexertion.  (Note:  Although he did not drown, Hugh Waldo 
is considered to be a victim of the Great Flood of 1950.  According to newspaper accounts, he died of a heart attack 
while trying to get his truck out of the path of flood.  His name is among the 22 flood victims listed on the memorial
