Middle name given in death record as Alfred, but other records and his headstone show it as Alva. Note (2) Birth date given in death record as Nov 15 1881, which would conflict with the birth date of his younger sibling. The 1900 Census shows his birth date as Nov 1880, and his WW I and WW II draft registrations state Nov 15 1880.. Note (3) Birth date given as Jan 1883 in 1900 Census. Note (4) Birth date on headstone is Oct 2 1883. But the 1900 Census shows it as Oct 1885, which corresponds to age 20 in his June 1905 marriage record.
