Event Notes
Note (1) Laverney Jane Hughes was born on Dec 31 1856, according to testimony provided
by her mother in her Civil War widow's pension application.  But her birth date
was given in the 1900 Census as Jan 1858, while her death record states Dec 21
1857.  Death record also gives birthplace as Greenbrier, W.Va., presumably
referring to Greenbrier District in Doddridge County rather than Greenbrier
County.
Note (2) Birth date given in 1900 Census as Sep 1899, but birth record and SSDI show
it as Oct 28 1899.
