records.  Transcription errors would explain the several discrepancies contained within this record, the most obvious of 
which is the marriage date, nine years after the wife's death in May 1866.  Other discrepancies are the husband's middle 
initial and his birthplace, well-documented elsewhere as being in Vermont.  There is no Clinton County in Vermont,
