      There are two entries for this marriage: MR Bk 1-B, p. 21, shows that the marriage license was filed/issued on Jan 4 1858. MR Bk 1-A, p. 122, shows that the marriage occurred in Doddridge Co on Jan 5 1858. At first glance, the latter entry looks like July 5 1858, but closer examination of the elegant handwritten entry reveals that what appears to be "July" is actually "Jany," the common abbreviation for January in those days.
