Nichelson, 25, son of David Nicholson; and Ellen Cox, 19, dau of Levi Cox. The entry is dated Dec 16 1856. (2) MR p. 118. Identified as Wm. A. Nicholson, single, 25, b. Madison Co, res. Doddridge Co, son of D. Nicholson & Mary; and E. Cox, single, 19, b. Lewis Co, res. Doddridge Co, dau of L. Cox & Salle. Married Dec 16 1856 in Doddridge County. (Note: Basis for identification of wife's mother as Salle is not known. All other references to her have been as Phebe or some variation.)
