- In 1938-39, the girls of Big Isaac formed a softball team known as "The Big Isaac Girls Team." The team was managed by Opal Kelley. Jewell Snider played second base. The team traveled all over the country, winning many games along the way. Several ribbons were won at Jackons Mill. A picture of Jewells "Big Isaac Girls Team" was later featured in the Clarksburg Exponent-Telegram newspaper.
