      Identified as (first name blank) Smith, female (sic), b. Mar 17 1894, father James P. Smith (age 21, b. Doddridge Co, farmer), mother Abby Haden (or Hayden) (age 21, b. Ritchie Co), this being the second child born to this mother. There was no entry to indicate whether it was a live birth or stillborn, or whether it was a multiple birth. (Note: The 1900 Census shows the family of Porter & Abbie Smith to have three sons, one of them being Isaac G. Smith, born in March 1894. "Ritchie County Cemeteries through 1993," p. 493, reports a burial at Auburn Community Cemetery for I. Gilbert Smith, son of Porter & Abbie Smith.
