      NOTE: The relationships of Kay & Lena Gilpin to the head of household should have been entered as brother-in-law and sister-in-law.

      1930 Census, Harrison Co, WV (Tenmile District, City of Salem), enumerated on Apr 9 1930 at 56 Bruce Street:
      Kay H. Gilpin, 33, oil driller, monthly rent $12, age 21 at time of first marriage; wife Lena, 31, age 19 at first marriage; son Hobert, 6; lodger James F. [sic] Frum, 20, single, no occupation. All born in West Virginia.
      NOTE: James Waitman Frum was Lena's brother.

      In the 1940 Census, Lena Gilpin, 41, single [sic], occupation cook,, was listed as one of several lodgers at the West Virginia Training School in St. Marys, Pleasants County. Husband Kay Gilpin's whereabouts in this census is not known. In 1942, his WW II draft registration shows both him and Lena in Coudersport, Pennsylvania.
