- Israel William "Bill" Coffman was an engineer for and retired from the WV Dept of Highways. He was one of the main engineers for I-79 and did the ground work for the building of WVU Basketball Coliseum. He then became involved in the Coal Mining Industry in Pennsylvania, Kentucky, and Wyoming, where he was superintendent for many mine sites.
Mr. Coffman was on the Board of Directors for the Carbon Co. Hospital in Wyoming and was Mayor in Hanna, Wyoming for many years. In honor of his many years of service for said town, the citizens of Hanna named a road and bridge in his honor. [Obit]
