- Sometime before 1813, John & Sarah Smith Jett moved from Fauquier County to Franklin County, VA, remaining there until 1820, at which time they moved to present-day Barbour County (W)VA, which was formed from Harrison, Lewis and Randolph counties in 1843. A record of their children and John Jett's Last Will and Testament is on file at the Barbour County Clerk's Office.
