- "Ritchie County in History and Romance," p. 40, lists as children of John Moody Pritchard and Sarah Haddox the same first eight that we show here, with the exception that a son Jasper is listed rather than James. James is documented through his marriage record as a child of this couple; since Jasper and James are shown as being of the same age, it would appear that James was also known as Jasper. There is no reference at all to a daugher Isabel, who is found in the 1860 Census and is identified in her marriage record as a daughter of John M. & Sarah Pritchard.
