1891, and birth record and Social Security application show it as Dec 4 1891.
Note (2) Birthplace given in marriage record as Ritchie County, with residence in
Oxford, Ritchie County.  Oxford is actually located in Doddridge County.  His
birth record shows his birth at Coxs Mill in Gilmer County.  The area where he
was born and resided is at the exact intersection of three counties, which often
leads to such discrepancies.
