Ceremony held Dec 29 1861. The handwritten entry of the bride's name was immediately overwritten to reflect the above
spellings, but even then the entry was not entirely clear. The name Claudia has also been offered as her name, but the
entry does not appear to say that. Clarinda is the name that later is given at the births of her children. MR Bk 1-A,

Note (1) Birth date given in 1900 Census is Jan 1839, age 61, and age 21 at time of
Dec 1860 marriage would also put birth in about 1839. But birth date on
headstone is 1836.
Note (2) 1870 Census of Doddridge Co, WV (South West Twp) gives age as 24, putting
birth in about 1846, and age 15 at time of Nov 1859 marriage would put birth
date at about 1844. But headstone reads 1848-1920. Since her first child was
born in 1861, the earlier dates are considered more likely.
