The death record thus implies a birth date of Aug 20th or 21st 1854, which appears to be incorrect. Birth place in death record given as Straight Fork in Doddridge County, but marriage record shows his birth place as Ritchie County. Note (2) Age 24 given at time of marriage would put birth in about 1853. But age was 2 in 1850 Census, 1900 Census shows birth date as Feb 1848, and death record specifies birth date as Feb 22 1848.
