Other survivors included 3 half-brothers, 3 half-sisters, and one step-sister, Wavelene Davis. There was no specific accounting for his half-sister Mammie Judy Ann Jones, although he was predeceased by "a half brother and two half sisters, all of whom died in infancy." It is noted that Sylvia's daughter with Lee Parker, Wavelene Johnson Parker, married Clearyl Edward Davis, whose mother's name was Mammie, per their marriage record. Sylvia's obituary stated that she was predeceased by "her companion of 19 years, Creed Jones, and her husband, John McCartney."
