The 1880 Census of Doddridge County, enumerated on Jun 2 1880, identifies her as Lucretia Dotson, age 6 months, a daughter in the household of Joslin & Arasonah Dotson (both age 32), other children Mary E. Dotson (14) and Jenavie Dotson (6). Doddridge County birth records, in the form of a typed transcription of the original ledger record, shows that Lucretia Dotson was born to Jerlean & Arsaniah Dotson on Aug 3 1880, an impossibility in view of her presence the June 1880 Census.
