Event Notes
Note (1) Birthplace given in his 1918 marriage record as Doddridge County, but his
death record and 1889 marriage record show it as Barbour County.  His birth
record states his birth date as Jun 3 1862 in Barbour County.  Other records
consistently show his birth in or about 1861, all of which puts his brother
James' reported Aug 1861 birth date in conflict.
Note (2) Elfie was enumerated twice in the 1920 Census, once with her husband in
Greenbrier District, and again as a cook in her mother and brother Edward's
household in New Milton District.
