Event Notes
Note (1) Birth date in his birth record is Feb 26 1880, in marginal conflict with the
confirmed July 1879 birth date of his brother Joseph.  The 1900 Census shows his
birth as Feb 1881, age 19, and age 21 at the time of his March 1902 marriage
also put it in about 1881.  The birth record on file is a one-line entry in a
typed ledger.  The entries, being typed and grouped somewhat alpabetically, were
apparently transcribed from the original handwritten records.  As similar errors
have been found in this set of records in the past, it is likely that a
transcription error was made, including the possibility that the year-of-birth
column should have been labeled 1881 rather than 1880.

records show it as New York.
