Event Notes Note (1) In 1850, listed as William G. Russell, age 36, putting birth in about 1814. But in 1870, he was listed as William J. Russell, age 60, putting birth in about 1810. Age 70 in the 1880 Census and age 76 in death record also put birth in about 1810. In the 1870 Census, the next enumerated household on one side was that of James H. Russell, and on the other side was that of Williams Maxwell. Note (2) Birth date given in 1900 Census as Aug 1913, but date on headstone is 1812. Her obituary states that she "had completed her 89th year, having been born while the ware of 1812 was in progress; her father being one of those who gave his services to his country."Name Index
