Death has been reported by others as 1874 at age 9, but this is incorrect based on the headstone. Event Notes Note (1) Obituary states birth date as Feb 25 1825. But headstone has birth on Feb 18 1825. And obituary gives age at death as 86y 3m 8d, which would put birth at Jan 18 1825. Note (2) Identified in father's obituary as Mrs. Elizabeth L. Nutter. Her name has also appeared as Lucinda Elizabeth Gaston, although her own family Bible with husband Josiah Porter Nutter identifies her as Elizabeth Lucinda. (per Lane Bush Nutter, grandson) Note (3) Inscription does not give birthdate, but states age at death on Dec 3 1890 as 34y 10m 27d. Previous reporting of death date of Dec 31 1890 resulted from a misreading of the headstone. Note (4) But death record states birth date as Jun 27 1858, at Summers. Note (5) Obituary of Hattie Adams Gaston erroneously states the date of her marriage to Morris Samuel Gaston as 1898. Doddridge County marriage records show that they were married in 1895.
