Event Notes
Note (1) Age in the 1910 and 1920 Censuses would put birth in about 1840, while age 8
in the 1850 Census would put it in about 1842.  But the 1900 Census shows it as
Dec 1844, age 55.
Note (2) David Roberts joined for duty 27 Jul 1863 in West Union and mustered in on 29
Aug 1863 in Parkersburg as a Private in Co H, 4th W.Va. Cav, at the age of 22. 
He was admitted to the U.S. General Hospital in Grafton, W.Va. on 22 Feb 1864
with rubella.  He mustered out on 8 Mar 1864 in Wheeling.  His residence in 1864
was Riggins Run, Doddridge County.
