But age 1 in the 1860 Census, age 10 in the 1870 Census, and age 23 in Feb 1882 marriage record, would put birth in about 1859.. Note (2) Birth date given in 1900 Census as Mar 1845, age 55. But age 27 in Feb 1882 marriage record would put birth in about 1854 or 1855. Note (3) Birth date given in SSDI as Feb 4 1883, but in 1900 Census as Jan 1883. Note (4) Birth date given in 1900 Census as Aug 1887, but death record states Aug 12 1885. Death record also states that he had no middle initial and that he was born in Ohio, but the 1920 Census identifies him as Luther S. Kile, born in West Virginia. Note (5) Death record indicates burial at Broad Run, which would usually imply either the Swiger Cemetery or the Mt. Zion Church (Morgan) Cemetery. But "Doddridge County Cemeteries," Vol 2, p. 141, reports his burial at Underwood Cemetery near Ashley, with a notation that although no readable headstone is now found for him, the 1933 WPA cemetery readings reported his burial there.
