Kelley was proceeding westward out of town. Doddridge officers worked 45 minutes to extricate Kelley's badly crushed body from the cab of his truck. Following the impact, the cab of the truck came to rest on the left side of the track against a guy wire on a telephone pole. The bed of the truck was torn loose and hurled 50 feet down an embankment behind a service station on Route 50.
