Note (1) Death date reported by Findagrave as Dec 7 1891 in Good Hope. But his death
record shows it as Dec 13 1891, age 82y 10d, in Doddridge County. Informant:
Elizabeth, his wife.
Note (2) Age in death record calculates to a birth date of Feb 2 1843. But date on
headstone is 1842, while age 21y 9m at time of Nov 1865 marriage record would
put birth in Feb 1844. Age was 7 in the 1850 Census.
Note (3) Obituary states "The funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Johnson at
the Big Isaac Methodist Church, Jan. 2, 1915, at 11 o'clock a.m. The interment
was at the Slussar Cemetery in charge of Harvey Morris, funeral director."
