Event Notes Note (1) Birth date given in death record as May 12 1871, while his headstone shows it as 1872. But his birth record, in which he is identified as Ira D. Jordan, shows a birth date of May 12 1869. He was in the 1870 Census, age 1. He seems to have adopted spelling Jerden soon after his marriage, as reflected in census records. His death record gives his name as Ira Dallas Jerden. He is identified as Dallas Jerden in the 1920 Census, in his son's death record, and on his own headstone. The death date on his headstone is inscribed as 1953, making both the birth and death dates on the marker incorrect. Note (2) Death date on headstone is 1968, but death record shows death date as Dec 8 1967.
