(16) Yearbook photo. Event Notes Note (1) Birth date given in marriage record as Dec 30 1912, but SSDI shows it as Dec 30 1913. Note (2) Commander Keith R. W. Curry was a member of Attack Squadron 145, Carrier Air Wing 2 aboard the Aircraft Carrier USS RANGER (CVA-61). On January 8, 1971, he was flying in a Grumman Attack Aircraft Intruder (A-6C) over North Vietnam when he was Killed in Action. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial. In December 2015, a sailor who had served under him posted the following message on CDR Curry's online memorial: "XO, you were a kind and compassionate man who cared about those under your command. I still remember the moment we lost you as if it was yesterday. God Bless."Name Index
