But the 1900 Census shows it as Oct 1856, while his death record states Oct 3 1857. Birthplace given in death record as Barbour County, but marriage record states Taylor County. Middle name given in death record as Alfred, but other records and his headstone show it as Alva. Note (2) He appears to have been enumerated twice in this Census, once with his parents and siblings, and again in Grant District in the household of his aunt Laura (McKeown) Waller, which also included Delbert's grandmother Emily (Cottrill) McKeown. His birth date was given as Apr 1892 in the former, but as Mar 1892 in the latter. Other discrepancies with his birth date include Apr 29 1893 in his death record and WW I draft registration, Apr 27 1892 in his WW II draft registration, and Apr 29 1890 in his Social Security application. Note (3) Listed as adoped son Harley Blake, 12, in the household of Xeonophen & Emily Dillon. He was identified in his brother's 1949 obituary as Harvey Blake of Flemington.
