Event Notes Note (1) Birthplace given in death record as Ohio. But census records show that although both of her parents were born in Ohio, she herself was born in West Virginia. Birth records show that Amanda B. Hartline, daughter of William & Margaret E. Hartline, was born in Tyler County, WV on Jun 16 1870, the same date as in her death record. She was identified in the 1870 Census as Bell, in the 1880 Census as Manda B. Heartline, in her marriage record as Amanda B. Hartline, and in the 1900 Census as Bell. She seems to have adopted the name Sarah at some point after that, as reflected in the 1910 Census and therafter.
