Event Notes Note (1) The birthdate of May 8 1894 is reflected in his birth records and in the Social Security Death Index, and the 1900 Census also reports his birthdate as May 1894. But his headstone reads "1893-1970," and his obituary states that he was born on May 8 1893 and died on Mar 7 1970 at age 77, yet another inconsistency. Note (2) Obituary gives birthdate as Jan 27 1889, while SSDI has it as Jan 26 1888 with residence in Canton, Stark Co, OH. Her marriage record in Jun 1916 gives her age as 25, which would put her birth in 1891. Her headstone has birth-death as 1891-1985.
