Event Notes Note (1) Age 81y 8m 18d in obituary calculates to a birth date of May 10 1834. But then obituary specifies her birth date at Apr 9 1834, conforming to the April 1834 in the 1900 Census.. Note (2) Cause of death was entered only as the single word "Confined," with no further explanation. Place of death was entered as Depot, which may or may not refer to the train station. We have found no reference to a community by that name. The same page of the ledger-style death record contains five other deaths with location given as Depot. Note (3) Birthplace given in marriage record as Harrison County, but in death record as Doddridge County. Note (4) Birthplace given in marriage record as Doddridge County, but in death record as Lewis County. Note (5) Birthplace given in marrige record as Doddridge County, but in death record as Romines Mills, Harrison County. Doddridge is considered the more likely. The informant on her death record, Mrs. Ralph Dotson of Clarksburg, did not know her mother's name.
