Also, researcher Linn Baiker has birthdate as Oct 8 1768, citing several sources including notes of previous researchers in her immediate family. But headstone inscription states that she died on July 26 1839 at age 69y 9m 18d, which would put her birthdate at Oct 8 1769. Note (2) Family Bible reportedly gives marriage date for Ruanna West and Watters Smith Jr. as Nov 6 1829, but William F. Donnelly, citing May 22 1932 Clarksburg Exponent-Telegram newspaper article, states it as Nov 6 1827. Differing still, Omar Davison, Stockton, CA, cites Nov 1 1828. Note (3) Nancy Smith's birth date reported by Butcher, p. 1136, as Aug 20 1808, but headstone clearly states Aug 20 1811.
